Pondok Aryan


Pondok Aryan is a Nasi Katok stall located in Kampung Mengkubau ,Brunei Muara District. Their pondok is at the back of their house, over looking the main road into Mengkubau.

Their cooking style of chicken is great, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their choices of chicken is superb as all the Nasi Katok I bought from them have decent amount of meats on their bones, though if you desire the bony parts of  the chicken(wings or neck) they will sure to have it.

The Nasi Katoks are packaged neatly in a box like form, making it easy for you to open up at eat straight away. 

The sambal options(sauce) is also great. The sambals to pair which your crispy and juicy chicken, they are Sambal Belado Pusu, Sambal Belado Biasa, Sambal Belado Udang, Sambal Tahai, Sambal Hijau Ketagih Pedas, Samabl Telur Masin, Sambal Belutak and Buttermilk Sauce. Different sambals to suite your palate, my favourite being the sambal belutak as it adds the meat flavors into the Nasi Katok adding more oomph to it.

LINGUALIST.BN

"Memupuk jati diri dengan mempelajari dialek kitani" Lingualist.bn motto   Lingualist.bn is founded by 7 students studying for their masters at University Brunei Darussalam this August. The 7 founders pondered what to do as they await for their Masters to finish, they decided to make a Teaching program specifically on teaching Bruneians about their own native language.  They saw the effects of globalization has on Bruneians especially the youths, fearing that Brunei's local language might someday become extinct. Program Curahan Ilmu (2021)

Students of 2021 Program Curahan Ilmu started in 2018 as an initiative to better improve the grades of year 6 students who are about to sit for their Periksa Sekolah Rendah.  Created by The Biro Kemasyarakatan, RPN Mengkubau village community and the company Teachmeguru(until 2020), this education program aims to helps children from financially vulnerable families from various villages throughout Brunei-Muara district. Back then the teachings were held at the community hall at Kampong Mentiri but now it has moved to a school. These children are educated every Friday and Sunday afternoon at a school located in Kampong Mentiri which is Sekolah Rendah Dato Mohd Yassin. The tutors are volunteers who are looking to increase their skills in teaching whilst some of them are regular employees, what matters is that the program does not discriminate who joins so long as they can teach and are dedicated to teaching.
