FAITHQALAM

FaithQalam is a school that teaches everything about Islam, it is founded by Haji Aminurhazim bin Haji Osman. It was originally called Malaq Tuition back in 2016, officially called FaithQalam this year with the support of the Al Houda Entrepise to conduct teachings. The mission of FaithQalam is greatly influenced by Brunei's Wawasan 2035 to improve the education of all resident. 


FaithQalam strive to make all their lessons to be completely different from other schools or tuitions so that evrything that is taught would remain. To ensure a meaningful study session, different approaches were taken depending on their age such as for kids they would learn by games, movies or songs. For teenagers and adults they would refer to texts while also using visual methods to learn such as through a video tutorial.





Aside from conduction different ways to conduct their lesson, FaithQalam has also other methods to teach. Given the current situation now, online classes has become extremely popular and FaithQalam is flexible in any platforms that their students request. Among them are Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Kuko Space and Telegram. 




The subjects that they teach is varied, able to teach everything from how read the Al Quran to "O" Level subject Islamic Religious Knowledge9IRK). FaithQalam is still trying to add more subjects to their classes, subjects soon to come are Fardhu Ain, Fardhu Kifayah, Usuluddin dan Syariah.

FaithQalam operates online now as Brunei is still under lockdown until further notice. Classes is daily, Monday to Sunday, the time of their classes are 0910-1200, 1400-1700 and 1900-2100. Their headquarters is at  Ground Floor. Unit 5, Bangunan Zainuddin & Azizah , Simpang 501. Jalan Tutong Kg Telanai, Bandar Seri Begawan.

LINGUALIST.BN

"Memupuk jati diri dengan mempelajari dialek kitani" Lingualist.bn motto   Lingualist.bn is founded by 7 students studying for their masters at University Brunei Darussalam this August. The 7 founders pondered what to do as they await for their Masters to finish, they decided to make a Teaching program specifically on teaching Bruneians about their own native language.  They saw the effects of globalization has on Bruneians especially the youths, fearing that Brunei's local language might someday become extinct. Additionally given that this is the digital age where the internet plays a crucial roles in our lives, the founders of lingualist.bn also saw it as a threat as the lingua franca of the internet is english. Program Curahan Ilmu (2021)

Students of 2021 Program Curahan Ilmu started in 2018 as an initiative to better improve the grades of year 6 students who are about to sit for their Periksa Sekolah Rendah.  Created by The Biro Kemasyarakatan, RPN Mengkubau village community and the company Teachmeguru(until 2020), this education program aims to helps children from financially vulnerable families from various villages throughout Brunei-Muara district. Back then the teachings were held at the community hall at Kampong Mentiri but now it has moved to a school. These children are educated every Friday and Sunday afternoon at a school located in Kampong Mentiri which is Sekolah Rendah Dato Mohd Yassin. The tutors are volunteers who are looking to increase their skills in teaching whilst some of them are regular employees, what matters is that the program does not discriminate who joins so long as they can teach and are dedicated to teaching.
