Cupping or known locally as bebakam, is a popular therapy that is known to have several health benefits. It origins is recorded in both ancient Egypt and China, the cupping methods used at Paning Free follows the Egyptian methods which is Hijama(wet cupping). 

Muhammad Syafiq Syukri Bin Awang Arifin, better known as Mr. Paning Free is the CEO of Paning Free started his business in March 2020. Before becoming officially open he decided to practice what he learned on his friends and family. After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedbacks, he decided to launch it officially late March 2020.

Muhammad Syafiq Syukri Bin Awang Arifin is a certified cupping and masseur therapist. Did training for massaging conducted by Cahaya Gemilang Academy, attended the Massage and Mind Therapy (MMT) seminar held in Ajang Hotel Miri, Sarawak. on 8th February 2020. Also attended a course called Basic Hijama Course in 18th January 2021 conducted by Al-Hijamah Enterprise (ahe).

The cupping therapy provided is either at their home based mini clinic at Lambak Kiri or you can do it at your own home as they provide house to house therapy session available in all four districts. Paning Free actually planned to offer another service which is the Facial Hydration Treatment earlier this year but cancelled due to the pandemic. 




Their business in 2020, rather than deceasing like every other businesses during the pandemic, increase as more and more people became more health conscious and this went on well until the recent lockdown in October this year which caused the company to temporarily suspend all therapy session. 

To prevent closure, Paning Free has decided to delve in other products to ensure financial stability by which is their health drink, Healme. Healme is a mojito that contains honey, ginger, tea, lemon and mint. This drink will be launch this coming new year.

To spread his knowledge about cupping to future generations and recruit potential new members under Paning Free’s wing via conducting workshops and courses as he is certified to become a trainer as he has also participated in “Training of Trainers Certification Programme” held by SEAMEO VOCTECH on 1 – 4 & 6 February 2021 at SEAMEO VOCTECH Regional Centre, Gadong, Brunei Darussalam.

"Memupuk jati diri dengan mempelajari dialek kitani" Lingualist.bn motto   Lingualist.bn is founded by 7 students studying for their masters at University Brunei Darussalam this August. Program Curahan Ilmu (2021)

Students of 2021 Program Curahan Ilmu started in 2018 as an initiative to better improve the grades of year 6 students who are about to sit for their Periksa Sekolah Rendah.  Created by The Biro Kemasyarakatan, RPN Mengkubau village community and the company Teachmeguru(until 2020), this education program aims to helps children from financially vulnerable families from various villages throughout Brunei-Muara district. Back then the teachings were held at the community hall at Kampong Mentiri but now it has moved to a school. These children are educated every Friday and Sunday afternoon at a school located in Kampong Mentiri which is Sekolah Rendah Dato Mohd Yassin. The tutors are volunteers who are looking to increase their skills in teaching whilst some of them are regular employees, what matters is that the program does not discriminate who joins so long as they can teach and are dedicated to teaching.
