Program Mumtaz 2022


Program Mumtaz is an education initiative aim at developing and improving the grades of student who are sitting for their Periksaan Sekolah Rendah (PSR). Managed by Teachmeguru with the support of The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports(KKBS) and Kelab Komuniti Belia Transformasi(KKBT), Program Mumtaz has successfully achieve their goal and have produced overwhelming results since its creation.

Program Mumtaz returns once again for the 5th year, started back in 2018 with the main objective of giving free education to children from financially vulnerable families. On 1st April 2022, Program Mumtaz had their opening ceremony in the afternoon via zoom. The attendees were the teachers, students, students' parents, officials from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports. 



This year 59 students have been selected to joined the program, these students are selected from 5 schools in Brunei Muara district and they are Sekolah Rendah Dato Marsal, Sekolah Rendah Dato Basir, Sekolah Rendah Sungai Hanching, Sekolah Rendah Kampong Lambak Kanan Jalan 49 and Sekolah Rendah Kampong Lambak Kanan Jalan 10 Utara. As for the teachers, this year there are 16 volunteers each of them from various educational background. 

Due to the current pandemic, all classes shall be held online until the situation improve. Classes will be conducted every Friday and Sunday afternoon.

Mirza's Churros

Mirza's Churros is a Brunei original. Started out in 2014, they began selling at Pasar Malam Gadong and have moved up their operation to various degrees, taking orders online and doing live cooking for events  Their main selling point is Churros now but they once sold Apam Balik, Ice Cream and drinks. Their churros have three variations to them which are the regular churros, slim churros and churro bites. LINGUALIST.BN

"Memupuk jati diri dengan mempelajari dialek kitani" Lingualist.bn motto   Lingualist.bn is founded by 7 students studying for their masters at University Brunei Darussalam this August. The 7 founders pondered what to do as they await for their Masters to finish, they decided to make a Teaching program specifically on teaching Bruneians about their own native language.  They saw the effects of globalization has on Bruneians especially the youths, fearing that Brunei's local language might someday become extinct. Additionally given that this is the digital age where the internet plays a crucial roles in our lives, the founders of lingualist.bn also saw it as a threat as the lingua franca of the internet is english.
